Before buying my brand new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport this past April, I’d never owned a Mitsubishi. I set down with the owner of West Mitsubishi, and he told me about the 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty. If a company is willing to offer such a warranty, they must be pretty confident in their product.
My credit score has seen better days. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to obtain financing. I shouldn’t have been. West Mitsubishi specializes in helping people with bad credit to get into new vehicles. On their website, visitors can get approved instantly. My score was in the low-500’s, yet I’m driving a brand new Mitsubishi, and the terms were pretty decent.
I’m impressed with this car. In particular, I love the ease with which I can navigate heavy traffic. The visibility is good, and the car handles well. It feels very roomy inside, yet takes up little space in traffic spaces and street lanes. The turning radius is tight for those times when you realize you’re heading the wrong way and need to make a 180 in the middle of the road. That’s often my reality.
The compact size of the vehicle means any open parking space will work. In the past, when I’ve driven larger vehicles, an open parking space isn’t necessarily a usable parking space. I have yet to be able to utilize any open parking space when out in my Outlander Sport.
Fuel economy is great! I average 33-34 miles per gallon on the freeway and 28-29 overall. There was even one roap trip on which I achieved 36 miles per gallon.
