Nissan To Use Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Technology In Their Own SUV

In September of this year, Nissan is expected to show the public their newest SUV. This is expected to occur at the Paris Motor Show in September. One remarkable aspect of this news is the revelation that Nissan plans to use technology from the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in the hybrid version of their new vehicle.

It should be noted, however, that Nissan’s new SUV will intially be introduced in European markets. At the time of this writing, we don’t know when the vehicle will make it into the market here in the United States. Nissan currently offers the Rogue here, and it is not yet clear if an additional SUV will come to our shores, or if updates to the Rogue are all that should be expected.

It is, however, quite interesting to learn that Nissan has such a high level of respect for the technology utilized by Mitsubishi’s PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle). While other countries have embraced it, the PHEV is underrated here in the US.

The PHEV is a very decent looking vehicle with a lot of great features that make it the ideal choice for those seeking a hybrid SUV. And the PHEV is priced lower than competitors.
